Description: The Florsheim Imperial Kenmoor 93605 is the most sought after vintage Florsheim shoe on eBay. The Imperial was one of the best American made shoes in its day and this models Shell Cordovan leather was a step up from the more common calfskin Imperials. The shoe has the classic gunboat long wing style that was very popular in the USA during the 1960s and 1970s and remains somewhat popular today. Its goodyear welted double leather sole and armored heel means its a very durable shoe. This is a New Old Stock pair in the box with original tissue from an estate. The note found in the box says unworn from 1972, but from what I understand, the date code of AD would indicate January 1974. The first letter corresponds to the first month and the second letter corresponds to the 4th year of the decade or 1974. The shells used in this pair are beautifully matched and the "brown" has strong and pretty red overtones. I believe these are Horween Shell #4. Size is 9C and my size 11's can't try them on for fit so please know your Florsheim fitment which I understand to be True To Size.
