Description: Offering this great vintage rare Denby Chiltern dinner plate. This plate was made in England and is a heavy grade stoneware. It is 9 7/8 inches in diameter and features a floral design of what appears to be pansies. The pansies are depicted in muted shades of mauve, lavender, and yellow with a matte finish. The body of the plate is white with a brown rim to the outer rim and inner ring of the plates. This plate appears to have seen little use and gentle care. There are no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, utensil markings, or signs of surface wear present. The backstamps vary slightly in clarity but are all the same backstamp. I am unfamiliar with this pattern. The colors to this dinner plate and other pieces I have all match in color. I do not believe there to be any significant fading present. This plate continues to show beautifully and I consider it to be in excellent condition. #4055 DCD
