Description: Vintage Scandinavian Cone Doll wearing a Folk Art Christmas Outfit. The underside of the cone says Kanebo (Brazil). The doll stands about 9" tall; the bottom diameter of the cone is 2.5" wide. She has long blonde braids tied with red polka dot ribbons. The cone is covered in red cloth and she's wearing a black fabric skirt with a green and red holly berry design. She has a 'wood shawl' and is wearing a red knit hat. She's 'carrying' (attached to her side but many of these dolls don't have actual arms) a handcrafted basket with straw flowers. Both the shawl and basket appear to be made from bark. Her head is a round wooden ball, hand painted with blue eyes, long eyelashes and a bright red mouth. She is unique and in very good condition. This was brought as a gift by a family member, from Sweden, I believe - perhaps in the 1990's? Smoke free home.
