Description: Walter Carl "Lefty" Anderson (b. 9/25/1897 - d. 1/6/1990) signed 3 x 5 index card. Walter Anderson was 19 years old when he broke into the big leagues on May 14, 1917, with the Philadelphia Athletics and played 14 games that year and 3 games in 1919. He was a left-handed pitcher and had a career 1 win and 0 loss record. He also batted left-handed and went 3 for 11 (.273). All cards I have ever seen signed by him state 1917-1920, but I can find no record of him on the 1920 roster (maybe left in spring training). Please note that there are 2 small blemishes on the right side of the card above and below the signature and a slight bend in the upper left hand corner. This card has not been authenticated, but I guarantee it to pass any of the major authenticators (PSA, JSA or Beckett) and will issue a refund up to a year from purchase if it doesn't. My default shipping is First Class with tracking at the lowest weight allowed. I know that the cost may seem high, but it protects both the buyer and seller. USPS costs have been going up and sellers have no control of that. If the item(s) is(are) $20 or less, I can ship in a plain envelope for $2.00, but there will be no tracking and I can’t be responsible for lost items (I will send a message when the item is placed in the mail). If you choose this method, don’t pay until you send me a message, so I can revise shipping and send you an invoice. If you buy multiple cards, I will combine shipping. No extra charge for 4 items and $1 extra for every additional 4 cards. Please wait for invoice if buying multiple cards.
