Description: For 200+ years the Wedgewood company of England produced jasperware in many assorted colors, shapes and designs. Just about the time that I have seen nearly every plate that Wedgwood created, I am continually surprised. I had no idea that the company created plates for the Mary Kay cosmetic company. This example, dated 1983, possibly was a gift for those of the sales force who sold a certain amount of cosmetics for the year or a particular time frame. Only a guess, but evidently not many were produced because I have never seen one while shopping for Jasperware. The plate measures 6 1/2” across and has a beautiful woman in colonial attire standing in a well kept garden. The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. I see no staining nor any missing bas-relief. A great advertising plate for any collection of Wedgewood jasperware. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description. Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting many fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future. Thank you.
