Description: An impressive antique Westerwald, German blue and gray salt glazed stoneware ewer, circa 19th century. Features grotesque animal head spout supporting loose ring, over ringed neck and flattened round body, decorated with heraldic crest and fruits in relief, with pedestal foot and scroll handle. Measures approx. 18.5"h x 9"w x 5"d. In good/fair antique condition, just displaying general light dust/dirt, minimal glaze flakes, and some isolated chips, all consistent with age, as well as some firing imperfections (including scattered dark spots) - see pictures.
