Description: Westinghouse Electric Corp., Fairmont, West Virginia Lightbulb Plant Vintage Postcard Westinghouse Electric Corp., located 2 miles east of Fairmont, West Virginia on Rte. 73. It employed 1475 people and was the world's largest glass fluorescent plant. The plant was built in 1941 and closed in 1983 when the Dutch-based Philips Lighting Co. bought it in 1983. Colourpicture (1938-1969) Boston and Cambridge, MA: was a greeting card and postcard printer and distributor in Boston, Massachusetts, on Newbury Street with a factory at 76a Atherton Street. A major publisher and printer of linen view-cards of the United States. They later went on to publish photochromes and small spiral bound picture booklets under the name trade name Plastichrome in the 1950's. Please review the photos carefully for condition and detail.
