Description: Up for auction is a used professional handmade William S. Haynes open hole solid silver flute with an inline G key, a C foot joint and soldered tone holes. This flute is not currently in playable condition. The pads and corks are in poor condition and will need to be replaced or the flute can be professionally overhauled/restored for optimal performance. This Haynes flute has a solid silver head joint, body, keys and foot joint. There are no major dents present and the head joint has the number "1" just below the Haynes makers mark. This flute has minor scratches throughout from normal use and the tarnished silver head joint, body, and keys have minor wear. The serial number is in the lower 18,xxx range which dates the approximate year of manufacture to 1946. Included is a used Haynes branded wood shell flute case(interior has minor wear with no strong odors, latches catch, exterior has minor wear) and a flute cleaning rod.
