Description: Original WW2 (1944) German LUFTWAFFE map of "EDIRNE" featuring an area where the GREEK, BULGARIAN & TURKISH borders come together. It's headed "Nur für den Dienstgebrauch" which is equivalent to a "RESTRICTED" British military map. The word 'FLIEGERAUSGABE' in the top right corner roughly translates to 'Aviation Edition'. In great condition. Excess margins have apparently been trimmed at some point in its history. From a large collection recently sold off by Edinburgh University - hence ink stamping to margin. (Following both World Wars, the government distributed excess stocks of Allied maps, along with captured enemy examples, to various national institutions such as libraries, museums, universities etc.) Will be shipped as per its existing fold lines.
