Description: Fabulous WW2 Era Officers Jaeger Le-Coultre Pocket Watch with Albert & Fob (Fully Functional) This is an excellent example of a military pocket watch by Jaeger-Le-Coultre, predominantly issued to Naval & RAF Officers. It has a gilt ¾ plate movement with 15 Jewels, which is signed “Jaeger-Le-Coultre, Swiss Made” and is in 100% mint condition –flawless The movement comes in a white metal open face case, which has a snap on back and bezel. The case is engraved “G.S.T.P, serial No and a Broad military issue arrow. The case is in good used condition – a few small marks but in excellent condition for a military issue watch. The black painted dial has an Arabic numeral chapter ring with old luminous numbers and hands. The dial is signed “Jaeger-Le-Coultre, Swiss Made” and has sometime during its wartime service, been exposed to high heat as the paint has slightly melted, producing a slight droop which is commensurate with its use. The watch has a bevelled glass, measuring 51mm and is stem wound & set. It comes with a 15” silver fancy linked Albert chain with a Bloodstone and Carnelian Spinning Fob, hallmarked for Chester 1927. Don’t be put off by the face, it’s wartime patina which adds to the character. The mechanism is perfect and runs smoothly keeping good time.
