Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This piece was recovered from the wreckage of a Focke-Wulf 190 that crashed near the village of Baldone (Latvia), with the loss of the pilot. Although the crash site was in a swampy forested area, it was still excavated during or shortly after the war. All large parts of the fighter were taken with only small fragments remaining. This piece is from a large collection of fragments recovered in 2020. The fragment pictured is representative. The one you get may be a little different. The fragment is displayed on an 8 1/2 x 11 glass faced document frame on a background that depicts a Focke Wulf 190, as well as information about the piece.
