Description: WW2 ‘Service of Thanksgiving For Victory’ – Central Mediterranean Forces. 1945 A genuine WW2 period order of service for “Thanksgiving For Victory – British Forces – CMF" (Central Mediterranean Forces). Dating from 1945. The cover is decorated with the Union Jack, the flag of St George and a red crucifix. It also has the formation signs of the 15th Army Group, the Central Mediterranean Forces and the Royal Air Force roundel. 12 pages (including covers). Dimensions: 200mm x 138mm. Good used condition (some rusting to original staples). The watermark in the photo does not appear on the original. The 15th Army Group was an Army Group in World War II, composed of the British Eighth and the U.S. Fifth Armies, which apart from troops from the British Empire and U.S.A., also had whole units from other allied countries/regions; like two of their Corps (from Free France and Poland), one Division (from Brazil) and multiple separate brigades (Italian and Greek), besides supporting and being supported by the local Italian partisans.
